... who grabbed Burning Crusade? I'm over on Earthen Ring as Dagund, level 10 Blood Elf Paladin. I'm still debating what kind of Draeni I want to play, or if I even want to, since I really don't like how the Draeni males look.

So anyways....

Just seeing who (if anyone) is still playing WoW these days, or if we've all gotten grown-up finally, or if we're doing what I'm trying to do, and balance various MMOs (tho lately, I've been leaning more towards WoW).

Quick question...

Anyone know, if you've got two monitors, is there a way to keep WoW in full screen mode on one monitor but still have easy access to the other? This only works when I keep WoW in windowed mode. Which wouldn't be that bad, except that I run my desktop and WoW at different resolutions, so WoW is smaller than my monitor by quite a large amount. It seems like a major pain to adjust the resolution everytime I start playing or quit.

So Edrie, my druid, dinged 60 on Sunday. It was... strangely fast (up until those last few bubs of XP when it felt like no matter how many things I killed, the XP line wasn't budging). I can't imagine getting a character in CoH to 50 as quickly as I got her to 60 (especially when I also ended up with four other characters that I rolled and got into the 20-ish range in the same time period).

I have lots of love for the help I got from Sevdawynd (punkhead5150), Kat, Ricco, Maveron, Sinjin, Blueblix, Bloodfletch, and the folks from Legendary who took me on my first Scholo run when Edrie was 57 (I got half a level in that run and dinged friendly with Argent Dawn, on top of it). And love to the Seekers who cheered me on in /guild (and who told me Less typing, more killing!) when I feared the last 4 bubs of 59 would never fill up with XP.

And now, cut for your viewing pleasure, the intrepid explorer kitty meow meow dings 60Collapse )

So, last night, I succumbed to temptation, and reactivated my WoW account.

I even have non-FUBAR'd access to Stern, Paladin of uh... smiting evil, and stuff. But instead of launching Patches again (because I truly desire to lay out the beatdown on that little... err.. okay, big bastard), I logged off, and opened a new character on Cenarion Circle.

LET THE EVIL CREATURES OF AZEROTH TREMBLE IN FEAR AT THE COMING OF KNEEREAVER.

In short, I made a Gnome warrior. Who will probably take engineering as one occupation - still trying to work out the second one, though. Suggestions are appreciated.

Heh, that's funny.

I just got the email about my CoH account being reactivated through Sunday. It's tempting, but I probably won't bother. Although those mayhem missions do sound interesting...

But the real thing that's funny about that is that it reminded me to post something here...

I was told not to come into work today because of weather, so Kameeka just hit level 60 this morning! Woot!

Holy crap.

So I was bored and decided to go grind some Furbolgs. Met up with a 60 there, suggested we join up, and we did so.

Fast forward a few hundred dead bear-men. I'd been lucky and won a [Grand Belt of the Monkey] and then shortly thereafter an [Aegis of Stormwind]. Imagine my surprise, then, when [Glowing Brightwood Staff] dropped! And I WON IT!

My first epic item I've ever seen drop, and not only did I win it, it's a kickass, highly sought after BoE one that I can easily sell for the better part of a thousand gold.

Yeah... I'm psyched!

I did feel bad, though. I gave the guy I was with (who was a good sport about it all and a great tank) all the gold I had on me at the time, a paltry 30g, and I passed when some green sword dropped next. :)

I've encountered a really, really annoying bug since I've started questing in the Felwoods.

Specifically, if you're charmed when someone dies, you don't get credit for their death. You don't get to loot their body, either.

It was bad enough when I just had to kill 8 satyrs that could charm me, but it just cropped up again. I had to kill some warlock and his two succubi (yes, two. Lucky bastard. That's reason enough for him to die! ;) ). One of the succubi charmed me right before my pet finished killing the other, meaning I didn't get credit for her kill! I then had to sit around and twiddle my thumb for 10 minutes waiting for them all to respawn!
